WHY THE BONHOEFFER NAME
The fund is named after German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, whose opposition to the Nazi regime ultimately led to his execution. He was an inspiration to Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights movement, the anti-communist movement in Eastern Europe during the Cold War, and the anti-Apartheid movement in South Africa.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer demonstrated the valor to be an independent thinker and inspired others to act in accordance with the courage of their own convictions.
THE BONHOEFFER STRATEGY
The central goal of this value-oriented strategy is to purchase the highest quality most undervalued securities worldwide. The identification of portfolio candidates centers on locating superior operating firms with recurring revenue within an industry or location in a state of distress or transition.
